President Tom Sawyer Obama has forced Rick Perry to paint the border fence. Our gutsy governor has stepped into the breach to defend our border without the money and manpower the federal government is obligated to provide. Moreover, Obama is punishing and hamstringing our state whenever he can. (i. e. denying or delaying FEMA monies during disasters). Isn’t it strange that a president who continually seizes unprecedented power to do things that are the sole responsibility of the states and not the federal government turns right around and abdicates his responsibility to defend our borders?
Rick Perry is not the slimy, unctuous, silver-tongued devil the ill-informed prefer to vote for, but when it comes down to the brass tacks, (or as we say in Texas, the n**-cutting) Perry is stepping up to the plate and defending Texans and therefore the rest of the country because other states are beneficiaries of his steel backbone. If Perry stops illegals from flooding across Texas’ borders, there are fewer illegals invading neighborhoods and taxing schools and health facilities all across the country.
Perry should not expect gratitude from blue states for helping them dodge the bullet of overwhelming illegal immigration. Liberals seem genetically unable to peer behind the curtain, nor do they seem to possess the ability to connect the dots of cause and effect.
Residents of blue states cheer Obama’s actions—until their own ox gets gored.
The running of the bulls has come to this country with a bang as people in forever-liberal enclaves like California and Massachusetts see the effects of unfettered illegal immigration right in their own neighborhoods. Cloward/Piven strategy sounds really good when you are in college and are studying the theory. It does not sound so good when you are forced to live with the results of actually putting these theories into practice.
If it is your school taxes that suddenly soar to accommodate all the extra students whose parents pay no taxes—your ox is gored.
If your child’s grades plummet because there are too many students in his or her class; if the teacher must gear down expectations (again) to accommodate students with poor learning skills and language difficulties—your ox is gored..
If your child becomes ill due to the lack of health screening of the new students because they did not come into the country lawfully—your ox is gored..
If it is your son that is murdered by a member of a gang that slipped into this country pretending to be an innocent “child” —your ox is gored.
If it is your daughter who is raped by an illegal alien gang member—your ox is gored.
If you or someone you love suffers a home invasion, a car jacking or other violence from one of the more than 36,000 criminals prematurely released—your ox is gored.
Fortunately for all the people with oxen gored and for those who still live under the threat, my state of Texas is an island of sanity and fiscal responsibility in the middle of the constant, destabilizing attack on our constitution and our country that comes out of Washington. Obama is determined to turn Texas blue, so he is sending us double the “children” that he has sent to other states.
Even with California and Northeast liberals taking over our largest cities, Texas has maintained our economic and legal equilibrium by mostly electing effective leaders with the right priorities. The incongruity of Blue Texans like Wendy Davis fighting tooth and toenail to kill babies and then welcoming foreign children in through the back door should not be lost on anyone with a modicum of rationality left in their being.
President Tom Sawyer Obama has forced Rick Perry to paint the border fence. He is forcing our gutsy governor to defend our border without the money and manpower the federal government is obligated to provide. He is forcing Texas citizens to pony up the tax money to defend the border. If the federal government only wants our tax dollars and then does not use those dollars to defend us; when we have to pony up more money to fill the gap–the relationship has lost the its core.
Moreover, Obama is punishing and hamstringing our state whenever he can. (i. e. withholding FEMA monies during disasters). If we were a blue state, I doubt we would be having these problems.
Texas need not expect gratitude from blue states for helping them dodge the bullet of overwhelming illegal immigration. Liberals are genetically unable to peer behind the curtain. They vigorously espouse unfettered illegal immigration until it hits their own neighborhoods. Remember when Ted Kennedy and his well-connected and wealthy neighbors went ballistic over the prospect of offshore windmills blocking their views? The hypocrisy connected with “not in my neighborhood” should have told the public a lot about where the priorities were.
When the SHTF–and it will–states need to decide whether they will stand with Texas or fold like a deck of cards.
